Western China Tourism – Harvest Turpan

September, talking about western China tourism, Xinjiang is a place that has to be mentioned, because it is the grape harvest season. Vintage Wine in Luminous Glasses. You must be able to think of this charming picture.
Speaking of Xinjiang, the first thought is that a variety of fruits and candied fruits. When I was a kid, my uncle lived in Turpan. Each season he would send a lot of candied fruits to home. It's delicious is beyond words. Although you can buy everywhere Xinjiang’s specialty now, but it does not compare the taste and feel of that time.

Tourism in western China, most people choose to Tibet and Sichuan, but Xinjiang also is a good choice. It is the grape harvest season, in the orchard you can see the red or green grapes everywhere. And in addition to grapes, a variety of seasonal fruits also covered with branches.

Turpan, there is more than Avanti, beauty, as well as grapes. The “dead” Turpan has the famous ruins of Jiaohe, Ancient City of Gaochang, Astana underground tombs, Thousand Buddha Caves, frescoes, Flaming Mountain, the world's second lowland, mummies and giant rhinoceros fossil. They are generous gifts of time, exudes a deep sense of history and culture. So the “living” Turpan? It is alive in the form of grapes, but only alive in the form of grapes. In this drought “Fire-Region”, in addition to underground canal—Karez, water only exists in the form of grapes. Grapes are the emerald lamp that lit Turpan. Under the grape arbor, there are dressed girls, cheerful Zikumu Dance and feast. Everything is showed in a hedonistic attitude.

The “dead” Turpan is a self-contained loneliness, is a mirror of another world, to map the illusory and ambiguous of existence. The “living” Turpan is like a loyal servant, provides a steady stream of warm, water, soil and nutrients to the world.
Fruitful Xinjiang is alive, not just desert. Tempting fruits, dancing under the grape arbor and Charming cultural. Everything is very fascinating.

Qinghai Lake tour

Qinghai Lake is called as "West Sea" or "Freshwater", in Mongolian called "Kokonor", in Tibetan is also known as "Cuo wen bu", which means "Blue Lake / Teal Sea." The beautiful Qinghai Lake is often referred to as "child's face", because it makes you to experience the four seasons changes in one day.

Qinghai Lake is very beautiful at the Four Seasons, but the scenery is not the same in different seasons. In Summer and Autumn, the surrounding towering mountains and vast grasslands of the West Bank will become a "green sea". The undulating Vast Grassland around Qinghai Lake is like covered with a thick layer of green carpet, those colorful flowers embellished the green carpet, and make it more vivid. countless cattle, sheep and robust horses gallop on the grasslands, scattered like the jewel in green. Large tracts of picturesque farmland of lakeside is rolling sea of wheat, the cauliflower glowing golden, and scattered with natural aroma. The vast expanse of Qinghai Lake is like a pool of transparent nectar in the gently rippling.

In the cold winter, the surrounding mountains and grasslands become yellow, but this does not affect the beauty of Qinghai Lake, when it covered with snow, it is also extrem beautiful. When it is very cold, Qinghai Lake began to freeze, the vastness of the lake surface is like a huge natural Hokyo in the sunshine reflects the different kind of glory.

Because of the without modification of natural beauty, Qinghai tourism occupy the first place in China's western tourism. Many people choose to has a Tibet travel, but Qinghai Lake is also a good choice. Many visitors travel from Qinghai to Tibet, the scenery along the way is equally beautiful, do not miss it.

Travel west China-------Yunnan

Travel is a necessary experience in life, near or far, there are always once. Speaking of tourism in western China,  Lijiang is a place that must to go, everyone before leaving has always a lot of expectations for there, and also has a different feeling.

  First, take a plane to go to Kunming and then from Kunming to Lijiang. The first day we arrived in Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan, due to its warm weather for the whole year, it has a nick name of 'the City of Eternal Spring'. After arriving at the airport, the local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. If the time enough, the tour guide will bring you to visit the local attractions.

  Tips:
Kunming is located at the high altitude, due to the heavy sunshine, the sunglasses and sunblock are necessary to bring;
2. The temperature here varies a lot between day and night, keeping warm in night is important;
 3. Many minorities live toghether in Yunnan, when travelling here, please respect their culture and protect the environment.

The next morning, drive 90km to Stone Forest. There is a saying "it is a waste of time without being in Stone Forest while visiting Kunming". It is the most remarkable nature phenomena, which is consisting of innumerable bizarre shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 270 million year ago.

In the afternoon, drive back to Kunming and visit the Golden Temple, which is the largest temple in China. Here you can see something of the origins of Taoism as the temple is located on Fengming Hill, the home of the Taoist Taihe Palace. Overnight in Kunming.

On the third day we take an early flight to Lijiang. Lijiang is an ancient city, where there are many scenic peaks. Most of the residents there are the Naxi people. I Remember, that Sun Li earlier played a drama called Yimiyangguang. That story took place in Lijiang. Although I was ignorant, but I still look forward to going Lijiang. Many drama mentioned Lijiang, where the couple seems to go traveling a lot. Have a rest in the ancient town of Lijiang. At night you can view the ancient streets or go to a bar to meet someone new. (There are also bed and breakfast hotel, which have old charm of wooden floor, and the price is good. But the hotel is also very good.)

Tips:
1. Sunshine in Lijiang is strong, sunglasses and sunblocks are necessary;
  2. In Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, walk slowly, no acute exercise, no alcohol;
3. For those who suffered from high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and heart disease, do not go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain;
4. When shopping in Lijiang town, bargainning is necessary. Usually you can get the products only for 1/3 of the owner asked for.
On the fourth day morning we will drive to the famous “Tiger Leaping Gorge”, which is famed among the backpackers. It is one of the longest, deepest and narrowest gorges in the world. On the way back to Lijiang, we will have a visit of First bend of the Yangtze River. The Jinsha River flowed southward along the Hengduan Mountain ranges and was forced to the turn to north because of the Alpine movements which caused changes in the earth's physiognomy. When the river reaches Shigu Township, it makes an abrupt turn and flows further northward, forming the rare V-shape bend. Overnight in Lijiang.

Tips:
1. A pair of sport shoes or climbing shoes, a hat and a pair of sunglasses are necessary;
2. Bring some water;
3. If only driving to see Tiger Leaping Gorge, 1 day is enough for coming and back; If you want to have a trek here, usually needs 3 days.
4. Please protect the environment when travelling.
